Applications:

Praseodymium Oxide is mainly for the production of metal Pr, rare earth permanent magnet alloy, additives for glass and ceramic.

Praseodymium oxide is used in architectural ceramics and household ceramicsIt can be mixed with ceramic glaze to make color glaze, and can also be used as underglaze pigment alone.

For the manufacture of permanent magnets:

Using cheap praseodymium neodymium metal instead of pure neodymium metal to make permanent magnet material, its anti-oxidation performance and mechanical performance are obviously improved, and it can be processed into magnets of various shapes. Widely used in various electronic devices and motors.

Praseodymium oxide is used for petroleum catalytic cracking: in the form of praseodymium neodymium enrichment, it is added to the Y-type zeolite molecular sieve to prepare a petroleum cracking catalyst, which can improve the activity, selectivity and stability of the catalyst;

Praseodymium oxide for abrasive polishing

Praseodymium oxide is also used in the field of optical fibers.

Specifications:

Preparation:

Extraction method Monazite concentrate is dissolved in alkali, phosphorus removal, and leached with dilute hydrochloric acid to obtain rare earth chloride solution. Extraction with relevant solution can divide rare earth mixture into three groups: light, medium and heavy rare earth. The light rare earths of the La-Nd group in the raffinate are separated in the order of oxalate precipitation: samarium, neodymium, praseodymium, cerium, and lanthanum. The oxalate can be precipitated to form a soluble complex, then precipitated to separate it, and dried to obtain praseodymium oxide.
