Preparation:


The mixed rare earth obtained is decomposed by extraction method, and the rare earth nitrate solution after removal of cerium is used as feed material, and the yttrium-rich rare earth is obtained by extraction grouping. After acid dissolution, the yttrium is extracted and purified again. The rare earth enters the organic phase, and then extracts to make the thulium and lutetium into groups. The thulium and ytterbium enter the water phase by back extraction with hydrochloric acid, and are separated by oxalic acid precipitation, filtered and burned to obtain ytterbium oxide.
